WHO WE ARE
Isipho Media Productions is led by Founders & Executive ProducersMarvin Cotton & Saquanda Nalls. This husband-and-wife duo began theproduction company in 2022. Born in the city of Detroit, together along withtheir creative team, their passion for people, community and the art ofstorytelling inspires them to use their voices and talents to highlight theforgotten stories of today. Their goal is to powerfully showcase thesecompelling stories in such a way that audiences will laugh, cry but moreimportantly connect with their humanity and commit to bringing aboutpositive societal change. The belief that the impact of people’s sacredstories can profoundly change the world, drives their work.
Marvin Cotton Jr.
Marvin Cotton Jr was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is a justice reform advocate, a community organizer and strategist, a best-selling author, loving partner, and doting father. Upon serving almost 20 years in prison because of a wrongful conviction, he was officially exonerated in 2020. Marvin is the CEO of Better not Broken, LLC which is an organization that seeks to assist and empower individuals and communities towards advancement
and success. Its mission is to inspire, motivate and equip teens, college students and adults to overcome circumstantial roadblocks and progress towards personal life transformation. He uses his voice to amplify the voice of the voiceless.
Saquanda Nalls
Saquanda Nalls was born in Detroit, Michigan. She is a HBCU graduate and currently works in the banking industry. Saquanda's passion for familyand community was fostered through her strong upbringing. She is also engaged in building communities through relational healing, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and empowering youth. Her work in the Relating
to Love Documentary has been informed by a passionate belief that filmcan be a powerful impetus for change.
